Join the fun and capture the festival spirit

The Festival in Motion encourages people to enjoy the Walnut Creek Greenway from Lake Johnson to the Neuse River. We need the help of photographers of all ages and experience levels to capture its hidden beauty and interesting stories.

Please submit your best photos from the Festival in Motion, or from other visits to the area, to the 2013 Walnut Creek Photo Contest. Entry opens on Monday, September 30, at 8 a.m., and closes on Monday, October 7, at 5 p.m. Email color or black and white images, in the highest resolution possible, to: rdifiore@hazenandsawyer.com. Put “Submit FIM Photo” on the Subject line.  (Photo submissions to this address only.)

A panel of professional photographers will judge the images and award prizes to First Place ($60) and Second Place ($40) in six Categories and a Grand Prize ($100) for best overall. Winners will be announced at a reception hosted by the Friends of Lake Johnson at the Magnolia Cottage, 1500 Lake Dam Road on the east end of Lake Johnson Park Boathouse from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29th.
